Via text, we will walk you through the steps to getting set up as a new patient.
These steps include downloading a free HIPPA compliant app for the consult as well as filling out intake forms. Forms must be filled out prior to securing an appointment time!

What’s included?
Dr. Housholder will meet with you via video chat to go over your current pregnancy and past medical history. The appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes. He will go over the latest Hyperemesis Gravidarum research and treatments. He will write recommendations for the treatment of your HG symptoms during your pregnancy and he will fax his recommendations to your pregnancy healthcare provider. You will also receive a copy!

Dr. Housholder opened the first clinic dedicated to treating HG in the US, in 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama. We are planning a second location now! Dr. Housholder collaborates with Dr. Fejzo, TIME’s Woman of the Year to further studies on HG.
Dr. Housholder follows the most up-to-date research on HG treatments using ACOG and HER Foundation treatment protocols. He presented his clinical findings at the International Colloquium on Hyperemesis Gravidarum, in Ventura California.
Do I have to be pregnant?
No! Dr. H welcomes preconception appointments for patients who have either had an HG pregnancy or have a family history. It is important to have a plan in place prior to getting pregnant.
What if I am unsure whether or not I had/have HG?
If you are suffering from prolonged and deblitating nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, Dr. Housholder can help. You do not need an HGdiagnosis to start a consult.
